I don't know if that's the real name but the mine is definitely real! Little boys would love watching the HUGE dumptrucks, and listening to all the banging and crashing.

This place is excellent! You get to walk on the back of one of the big Tonka truck dump beds and overlook the gold mine. You could see where they drilled the holes for the next explosions. It is very fascinating, this is a must see!

Interesting place to visit, amazing to see what those giant diggers have done to mine the gold, the giant trucks was not running the day I visited, but was still a slight to see, hope to go back in summer to see it when it isn't so cold

Nice stop on the Goldcamp road. Overlooks the Newmark open pit mine. They have an old dump bed from one of the large Caterpillar trucks that you can climb up to see into the mine. You can also wee Pikes Peak from here.

Awesome view of the power of man. It's crazy how much earth can be moved in search of gold. The parking lot was clean and big with RV spots for large vehicles. It was cool to climb the old dump truck bucket to look down into the hole - which you can't see the bottom of anyway!

You really get to see how huge this Open Pit Mine is from the custom built stairway that goes to the top of this repurposed Haul Truck Bed. Very well done. I'm not sure why the Molly K. came up, This is Cresson Pit #2. Piit #1 is bigger and out of view over the top of this one.

Great view of the mine, from the converted bed of a monster dump truck.
