Hard to access as you have to wade across a causeway to get to it (or by boat if you have one) This old fortress proudly bears the name of Ireland's anti-hero. The fort is built on a low cliff and is quite an achievement in construction. Well worth the wade

A really lovely spot. Be aware that you can get there in low tide only. The hike to get there is a bit rough and it will take you about 1 hour to get there. Definitely worth a visit.
