Ordered Deliveroo despite the mixed reviews because I was craving Nigerian food. The food was really nice but you need to revise your portion policy. I had enough rice and meat with the ayamase dish I ordered but three plantains just doesn’t make sense. See for yourself - pictures attached. **Review Update** I tried Lagos Island 5 months after my initial experience and called before ordering on Deliveroo to find out if I could get an extra portion of plantain. This was made possible and I am very pleased with the experience :). I’ve amended my rating to 4*. My only recommendation would be to make that option available via the deliveroo app.

I visited this restaurant yesterday as I told my friend I found a Nigerian restaurant in Croydon. We ordered few food but below is the ones which we were very disappointed with. Egusi soup had so much stew and less Egusi, Moi Moi was sold for 3.50 which I think was too pricey and came out so small for the price been charged. The plantain as you can see is the worse of it all. Overall very disappointed with the foods.
I couldn't believe how rude the staff are here! Even the \manager\. I'm sorry for the owner as they'll drive them right out of business if they continue to speak to customers that badly. I for one will not be spending my money here again.
The Nigerian food here is always 5* and fresh. Jollof rice is just how I like it: al denté with lots of flavour, a bit spicy and no burned bits. The fried fish & efo riro are also nice. Service is good. Possibly could give more plantain in the jollof rice portion though. On the whole 5*
Great customers service, huge portions and very flavoursome. I ended up ordering from here two days in a row. Highly recommended
