What a massive awesome sea terminal. Absolutely stunning

Bruges Belgium was a beautiful place to visit. Clean city with shops and restaurants.
We stopped here whilst on a cruise. The port is very industrialised and home to the Belgium navy so security is tight and you just can't go for a walk or wander around like in other cruise terminals. A shuttle bus was provided by the port authority to the coastal town of Blankenberge which is lovely or you can hire a taxi to take you to Bruges or the train station.
It's a cruise port, not the prettiest but efficient and tidy.
Great place to get on and off the ship and into Brugge. Allow yourself plenty of time to get back, traffic can delay you. You don't want to miss your ship
I love this imposing cruise! It was filled with lots of activities and lots of places to sun lounge to watch the high quality entertainment! The food was fantastic - I recommend the 'restaurant' in the evening and not the buffet. The service was ok but the last night we came back from a quiz at 12 am and the bunk beds where not made. Me and my sister had to sleep top to toe because the service didn't come after calling twice.
If I'm going to rate it for size then its a 5, for facilities, then nearer a 3, for ease of access and security a 5. It's a lot bigger than I imagined and spreads over quite an average. I came in on a cruise ship so was berthed opposite one of the container depots. To get off the ship without being on a trip, you must use the shuttle bus service which is free and runs between the ship and the harbour entrance. No idea where that is I'm afraid, I was on a coach. How do you get anywhere? Well it looks like a tram service but I would explore before you leave so you have a clearer idea.
Really good view of the port.
