Listen, Cubana Café is good for what it is - and it makes you feel good. Is this authentic Cuban food? Absolutely not, but for our purposes of grabbing a quick, casual bite and some drinks while sitting outside, listening to good music and enjoying good conversation, this checked all those boxes. The outdoor space is cute - bright and vibrant colors keep you feeling upbeat accompanied with some island vibes and Cuban decor that fills both the indoor and outdoor space. We popped in for a couple of cocktails and some small bites due to the COVID regulations - no drinking without ordering food. So we did - tostones and chorizo and both were good. The chorizo had tons of flavor as it should and was grilled nicely. The tostones were fine. Obviously I was hungrier than I though because I forgot to take a photo of the food. To drink, I wound up going with a watermelon mojito, minus the added sugar. It was well balanced and tasty. My friend kept it simple and ordered light rum (not sure which), neat. Well priced, low key and the staff was super nice and accommodating. *Cash or Venmo only

This is one of my most favorite neighborhood hangs. The casual vibe is fun and loose. And the food is AMAZING. I also always love their service, everyone on staff is courteous, kind and professional. So much love for Cubana Cafe!
Got a watermelon mint lemonade everytime I was in the area, great for summer. Nice ambiance in and out of the restaurant but very hot inside.
Food and portions are great, the design of the restaurant is cute and cozy. Price is a little steep but regardless the problem I had with this restaurant was the owner, at the time when corona started the establishment was only excepting Venmo payments Which I found awkward and Bizzarre to begin with. Not knowing exactly how much my total was because I ordered on the phone I added up my order with what I found on the website menu, Long story short I was off by .25 or maybe .50 and the owner made me Venmo him an extra .50 on top of lecturing me in front of his customers. The sad is was that I was really enjoying the food but I will never come back here, try out Pilar Cuban eatery much better food and service.
Unique place to eat. I really love the atmosphere here. Staffs are really nice and attentive.
