Made a reservation on 24th August 2020 for the 24th. On arrival ( having driven 50 kilometres to get there with company for a special meal) the place was shut. From the rubble outside, It looked as though some building work was being undertaken. A scruffily clad man arrived and told us our booking had been transferred to the \ la Fabrica\ restaurant a few kilometres away. When closed, why did they accept our reservation.? We persevered with our special meal and drove to \la Fabrica\. It took them ages to find our booking but eventually we were seated. Having looked at the exorbitant prices on the menu, for what was basic food, we eventually settled on our choices. Just as we were about to order our meals we were approached by a waiter, who at best can be described as surly and down right rude we were told we would have to sit outside. With temperatures approaching 100F it was not for us, so we cancelled our booking and left. Would we visit either restaurant again. Not a snowballs chance in hell. None of us are new to spain , if fact we gave all been in spain for at least 14 years and know what to expect

Went here with a group of friends on a Sunday. It is a bit off the beaten track but one of our group had driven out earlier in the week and booked the table so they knew the way. Its sign posted but you have to drive down a dirt track which was ok in my 4x4 but in the wet it might be a bit more difficult. The place itself is really quaint but the views are stunning. We ordered drinks and sat outside enjoying the sunshine before going in to be seated. We had a long table in the Cave which sat all thirteen of us comfortably. The venue is quirky but pleasant, clean and comfortable though the cave amplified the noise and it got quite loud with all of us talking at once. The Owner 'Jero' explained the menu in Spanish and one of our group translated but primarily we just allowed them to cook and deliver what ever they decided to cook and it was a great choice. First there was bread an aioli, then a fresh Tuna salad. Next was a sort of Lollipop of chicken ( like a chicken nugget on a stick) with cooked potato in a very garlic rich oil. This was very good. This was followed by thinly sliced Aubergine deep fried to a crisp and smothered in Honey and Balsamic vinegar. Then came the meat, Chicken skewers, Lamb chops, Pork piled on top of some great tasting chips. There was a choice of desert and they were all delicious. I had some sort of Chocolate pudding with Ice cream. beautiful. Finally coffee and brandy before we ventured back out side where we got acquainted with their pet donkey. This is a great place, great local food, good service, friendly staff and at 22 a head including drinks it was a bargain. I recommend you give this place a try, its not for the faint hearted but its well worth the effort.
Staying in our cave house nearby in Grima, we were overjoyed to hear about this very special restaurant. Arriving in January, we were the only guests that night, but wow, talk about making us feel special. I can't wait to come back in March and eat here again. We all agreed that the tuna was cooked to perfection. Thank you for a wonderful night. Morag.
