This review is for both UR Property Group and Century 21 M&M Cupertino. UR Property Group was managing my home when I was away from CA. When I came back, I asked for a walk-through. After the visit, I asked them why there were 5 tenants, and I was only ever informed of 4. Turns out they had signed for 5 but did not remember to inform me after 2 years (and probably would never have, had I not done the walk-through). On realizing that they were probably not the best candidate to look after my home, I did not extend the contract. They left my key at the front desk. When I went to pick it up, the front desk staff could not locate it. When I asked for L. W., she came out of her office and soon lost her temper. Both the front desk staff and I were in shock. The staff told me to drink some water, forget about it, and just "flap my wings like an angel". It was a such a bizarre sequence of events that I still remember vividly. Generally speaking, the UR Property staff were extremely hard to locate and I could never really know if I would receive a call/text back. I usually make several calls over days. Sometimes I wonder if I'm paying them or if they're paying me? I wanted to give Century 21 M&M the benefit of the doubt so I wrote several complaints to their global HQ. They responded that they had contacted John Melo, owner of Century 21 M&M Cupertino. My emails to HQ were dated in Sep, Oct 2015, and Jan 2016. To this day, more than a year later, still no response. There are plenty of rental property management and real estate agencies out there. It is one of the important investments for most of us. My earnest advice is to find an agency that can be trusted!
