Dr O’Flaherty attended to myself and my son yesterday she was very professional and honest. I’m a nervous patient but she made me feel at ease. She also made my son feel at ease and he’s 9. Didn’t have to wait too long for an appointment either.

Where do I start. Absolutely shockingly poor service provided from initial contact to appointment day. The receptionist called to confirm if I was attending my scheduled appointment and demanded that I complete a form in advance or my appointment alternatively my appointment would be cancelled. I explained that my screen was cracked therefore this was not possible and she completely disregarded this until I repeated that it was not possible due to the screen 2 further times. I would highly recommend that the front of house staff are provided with BASIC customer service skills as this is not the 1st time the staff have acted unprofessional. I attended the surgery with my Toddler and was locked outside due to the current climate which is understandable. On entry to the surgery I was asked to sanitize and with absolutely no prior warning whatsoever your receptionist proceeded to point a thermometer gun towards my toddlers head. I did not appreciate that no notice was provided nor did she ask if this was ok. I requested for the thermometer to be aimed at his wrist which is how you normally take a child under 5's temperature I have been advised. As the parent I was made to feel as though both my child and I had some sort of disease and was practically thrown out of the surgery and advised that my appointment would be cancelled! I advised them that this is how his temperature had been taken at the hospital and that they had informed me that this method of temperature check is not recommended nor accurate. This was completely disregarded. I was intimidated as I had 6 x staff members confronting me referring me to the NHS website which does not actually state what they suggest. Shocking to say the least as I had informed the receptionist that my Sons gums were bleeding. Absolutely disgusting and bullying behaviour from alleged professionals.
