I lost my husband 7 years unexpectantly. I was devastated and me and my children were traumatized. This funeral home handled every detail with gentleness and so much care. I am so grateful for them. This past Christmas I lost my sweet daddy. The doctors gave him 6 months to live and he lived for 8. Since we knew his life expectancy we were able to make prior arrangements at the funeral home so it wouldn’t be so hard afterward. The funeral home was amazing and I wouldn’t want to go to any other funeral home. They cared for the living and cared for the loss of our dearly sweet loved ones. They showed great respect and honor before, during, and afterward.
My mother recently passed away, and my family chose Dahlonega Funeral Home because I have been to a couple of visitations/services there and each one has been great. They took great care of my mother, and they helped me and my family get through the day. I felt like they really did care about her and all of us, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Amanada Jones was always there to answer any questions or meet me, and she was very flexible with my needs. The day of my mom's visitation, Debbie Waldroph came and spoke to us multiple times to make sure everything was in top shape for my mom, and she made sure the entire facility was clean throughout the day. I would definitely choose this facility and the staff again.
I was just at a friend's 28 year old daughter's funeral. They had the family visitation for 2 hours prior to the funeral at 2:00. This was a mother's final time with her daughter. They kept her in their office from prior to us getting there at 1:30 until 2:30. No one from there came out and said anything to the friends who had came not even to say \we will be running a few minutes late\. They had her in that office for her final farewell to her daughter. Then at the the end after they took the casket out and the mother was following her daughter to the hurse they came up behind her and grabbed her sleeve to go in and sign another paper. Really? They should be ashamed!!! They weren't friendly at all. When she lost her daughter last week I was considering going there to set up my own final arrangements. However, I certainly will not be going there now!!
We had my daddy here and it’s never easy losing someone you love and they were the absolutely best they handle everything with care my family and I appreciate everything Dahlonega funeral home done for him and us I wish I could give them 10 stars
