I went here for my birthday. An excellent moment for a Man to want a Large Piece Of Meat. Let' s start off with that, then. I had a T-bone and that was good, even though a bit thin. I know, it's 600 gr but at least 1/3rd of that is bone. It was tender, the seasoning was good, but I have had better for less money. It came with potato croquettes (my choice) and a light salad. Suited me fine. Overall, decent steak. But the feeling of \it could have been better\ keeps nagging at me. My wife and kids had burgers, they were happy too. I had a bite; same feeling. Good, not great. And then I saw the floor. And this might be the silly bit of the review but it does matter to me. We were sitting outside. I looked in, through the window. The inside floor was raised and the whole thing looked like a badly built stage. I care about these things. Then, more things started to pop up. The outside furniture was good-looking, but quickly (and sloppily) screwed together. About half the staff didn't speak German, which is fine for me - I can manage perfectly well in English. But a waiter in Germany who doesn't speak German will not charm the locals, I'm certain. Also, the chief waiter, let's say, was apparently the only one who was allowed to accept payments. This is... strange. The service was fine and efficient, but like so many other things here, it seemed... superficially good, until you check under the hood. But maybe I'm just whining. The food was good, the desert was good, there was a little playground for the kids and we didn't get wet when it started raining. Oh, and there were several mice running around. Don't care, it's near a forest and I like mice. But still...

Great burgers! A little expensive, but considering its a resort area, that is normally to be expected. Nice ambiance, and surroundings.

We only came for ice cream after the castle view, it had THE BEST ice cream in all of EU.
