I really like this place, I have been in this apartment complex for almost 2 months. One of the plus features of the place is the way that they handle maintenance task. Today, there was an issue with the heater in 27F temperature (what are the odds, right?!), Alex and Oscar worked on this issue for half a day and they did a great job fixing it.

I moved here about 2 weeks ago from Wichita Kansas. I have no family or friends here in Dallas so the move has had some difficulties I could of not expected. Everybody here has gone above and beyond, including several maintenance men, Edward, Wilberto and Roberto, helped me get my mattress to my apartment when I got stuck. Taylor helped me out a ton through the beginning stages and also puts up with my questions. Out of all the craziness of moving... I'm glad to be comfortable at my home and have a safezone. Thanks everyone at Cortland!
We were going to move in on January 27th I believe and worked with Sarah. Be aware, their website said they were offering ALL move ins 4 weeks free. So, after touring the unit and having our time wasted and deposit fees put down and the application finalized, Sarah then goes back on their word and says our unit is not applied to the special. She tells my boyfriend it’s only “empty units” and made up an excuse to why we have to now add another 1k to our first months move in. After extending past our move out date in the apartments we live now, she completely did us dirty and showed us how much someone can lie behind their teeth. It upsets us because we planned on being long term residents for at least 5 years. Don’t waste your time with these leasing agents and go to a truthful apartment building that values their residents. We are looking for new apartments now after wasting our time and money on this place hoping to rent with them. Update: Sarah reached out in email explaining why we couldn’t get the special. She said although we applied in November for a unit that was ready it was only for vacant units in December. Which is not what the website said. Including the fact our unit was part of the special even if it was “select units” this was discussed at her desk. She then asked if I could take the review down. I am not taking this review down anytime soon.
Recently moved to Dallas. Sarah and Wyatt were awesome and very helpful during the whole process, and helped me smoothly transition into the new contract. I had a few packages sent during the move, and a few arrived prior to my arrival. I was worried they might get swiped, being left on the doorstep, but the maintenance staff was kind enough to pick them up for me. Enjoying living here so far. Great location, really close to grocery stores and great restaurants.
Not a review of the property, but of my experience working with leasing consultant Sarah! We didn't end up leasing through Cortland BP (yet), but working with Sarah has made this whole process so much easier. She has met in person TWICE and is so patient with my bajillion questions. Also took the time to walk through various timing scenarios based on my budget. Appreciate you, Sarah!
