I've been a resident here for almost two years, There have been many changes since then! Property is under new management, We have a friendly staff, Our Maintenance tech is awesome! Things get done promptly, with the customer service you'd expect! The great thing about living here is we are close to many public transportation within walking distance, the mall is not even 5 minutes away, food and grocery area's are right around the corner. Parking is very secure, Apartment building is dog friendly to most breeds. A lot has changed, and as a resident I am glad they did! The staff is awesome! We now have online access to submit work order's and to be able to pay rent online as well! No more mailing checks and making it a hassle! Thank you hillside!

My experience has been Great at Hillside Courtyard Apartment's. I have lived here more than two years. Close to by Bart just crossing the street light. Bus stop at the corner. Close to Seramonte Mall shopping center. The Best schools close by are Susan B Anthony with great fields for kids. Policita Middle School and Jefferson High School. This location has been Great and looking forward to staying for many more years to come. The Apartment's are clean, with a laundry at site. Parking spot available. A patio at the center of the property. I like to thank Luís for fixing doors around the place and the service he is fast at responding to any questions or help when needed.
Poor security building is easily accessed by unwanted elements bikes are stolen from garage area and vehicles had been stolen from gated garage area. Security cameras are definitely a joke for they do not stop crime or deterrent constant unwanted traffic into building. Washers and dryers are always broken and the price of a wash and dry is outrageous, pet owners wash their pets clothing and beds in the same washers and dryers leaving pet hair all over, there is constant water leaks into garage, this building does not have ADA access ramp so it will not be suitable for a person with mobility issues, there are no fire sprinkler system inside of units bath tubs and showers heads are from the same time period when the building was constructed (1960’s) The noise from unit to unit is high you will be able to hear your neighbors conversations due to insufficient and poor noise proofing within the walls. Night time is extremely dark outside of the property not well lighted and there is no police patrol as you will expect being so close to BART, you get to see more transients than police roaming in this neighborhood. It is obvious the owners do not want to spend money into the property but they increase the price base on the surrounding properties that are offering similar if not better amenities, test the drinking water before using it for personal consumption.
Great place to live very quiet complex people are very kind. Easy for me to travel to san Francisco or to san mateo area. I've been here 7 years and i can see a guy going up and down taking care of the property very polite. Shopping center is close by serramonte.
Nice location and decent bedroom size, but horribly greedy management. We spent 10 hours making sure our place was spotless when we left and the apartment manager only pointed very minor details that were impossible for us to clean and estimated our cleaning costs to be cheap. The management company ended up billing us for 4-5X what we expected. The places may look nice, but they are furnished cheaply and stuff will break whereupon clueless non-english speaking repairmen will come. Also there is a shockingly loud horn that repeats daily. The prices may be cheap but be prepared to pay a grand in cleaning fees when you leave no matter what.
