Ordered a tonne of wintermix compost on Monday, delivered yesterday (Friday). This is the third delivery of compost in the last year and once again the quality is superb. I had my most successful season of veggie growing last year and I wholeheartedly believe this was down to the quality of the compost, so hoping for the same success this year. Delivery in 5 days during a lockdown is fantastic service and the driver even phoned me to check where I wanted it dropped as I was out when he arrived. Excellent company and excellent service, highly recommended. Will be ordering more in the spring.

My son purchased 3 Tonnes of Root-Zone topsoil and 1 Tonne of Lawnmix topsoil, whilst preparing my garden for a new lawn. When the Root-Zone topsoil was delivered, it was clear that we had received 3 Tonnes of plain sand. There was absolutely no soil within the mix as we paid for and it failed to match the description on the website. My son phoned Dandy's and sent them a photo, but their rep (Simon) was adamant that we had received what we had ordered. When my son then started to spread the Lawnmix topsoil, he commented that the quality was extremely disappointing and he had to chop each individual barrow load up with a spade to make it anywhere near workable and it was full of stones and small pieces of wooden plant material . Having done this work, we ordered 50m of turf and another tonne of Lawnmix to finish off bringing the garden level to the required height. This time, the Lawnmix topsoil was a totally different product to the previous one received and probably was what should have been delivered in the first case. This made the job of laying lawn far easier. Delivery on each occasion was as requested and their turf is excellent quality. However, you clearly don't always get the type of topsoil that you order and 68.95 is expensive for plain sand and 65.87 for LOW grade Lawnmix topsoil! First photo is the \sand\ second is the lower quality topsoil on top of the sand!
