My grandfather had an appointment that was made 3 months ago for BJH. Transportation and lodging was also arranged to pick him up from his home to bring him to a hotel. The driver came 2 hours earlier than scheduled so my grandparents 80yrs had to rush to finish getting ready. When he arrived to the hotel he learned the VA did NOT reserve his room which is not what was communicated in August. They insisted he could pay for the room and the VA would reimburse him. However, today is veterans day and no one could be reached.

Nice people who care about the veterans they serve. Plenty of parking. Its really not very hard getting around the place and if you get lost just ask someone for help. The people will go above and beyond for you if you need them too. It is an older place.

Excellent care, great people working there, I just wish that still had an emergency room!

There are some really good employees that care about Veterans, too bad they are in the minority! Most employees when caught making a mistake, rather then apologize, they are taught to try and make the Veteran feel like they are the one at fault for the problem. I have gone to this Facility for 23 years and it is the same cover for the incompetent employee and put blame on the Veteran to divert from their incompetence culture that NEEDS changed NOW!

I,m 62 years old and have health issues including Angina. At least 3 V.A. doctors have confirmed this.On my last visit to the V.A. in Danville Illinois I was told by the doctor it,s just anxiety. 3 to 1 who is right? Now I,m worried and confused. I keep my blood sugar under control and my blood pressure and take nitro if needed. I have always had faith in the V.A. doctors but now I,m not so sure.
