Officially there are about 60 barangay on the island of Daram , and one of these is Ubo. It has a population of a little over of 700 people. It is located on Western side of Daram. It's about 10 minutes by boat to the now most visited tourist rock formation called Kandiwata. Ubo is a poor barangay on Daram. Most people are farmers and fishermen. They only have elementary school for students here and would go to the next Barangay to the north for high school in Barangay Birawan.
