I’ve never visited here but passed it frequently on the way to Darien lake amusement park. This is a great hiking area. However I would recommend to avoiding paying for parking go up the road past the entrance. You’ll see a entrance to walk right in (and parking, but small). I think it was quiet beautiful and quiet.

Back in the 70's, We used to go there at the swimming hole over the holidays with family friends, It was always a Great memorable time. 2004- '05 Bought our fist P/U., tested out the new pup there, The kids had a blast. 9/ 2020 Its still Good times & Awesome memories. Its better now that its more open. Awesome friendly staff & Great customer service.

I really liked the set up of the state park. The facilities are clean and updated. My only suggestion would be that the beach gets combed for there were a large amount of rocks in the sand. Luckily none of the children were injured being barefoot and all. The water was filled with lots of debris. Seaweed and algae everywhere The kids liked it, but I didn't want to get that in my hair. This beach is kid friendly, but there's no food nearby. Plenty of space to keep with Social Distancing. Picnic tables, grills, playgrounds, and parking near these areas. You can fish and there's lots of clear grass for jogging, walking, or just regular fun in the sun.

We camped there this past weekend, the campground is nice and well taken care of. Parking spots are gravel and most of them are fairly level.

The disc golf course is really only playable during colder months when the woods aren’t so dense and unmanageable. Challenging!
