Similar experience to other customers. Staff seems unusually agitated towards closing time. Old man on the cash register was a complete a-hole for whatever reason. While checking out I ask him a simple question about a product price and all of a sudden he becomes super rude and doesn't want to answer, repeating "I don't understand your question" about five times like a clown. I think manager was standing there behind him just watching and staying quiet. Staff in general seems cold. Maybe the pandemic affecting them? Anyway, avoid Fruitful Yield. Other locations are really not much better. Somehow these people manage to excel at making you feel unwelcome at their stores. Plenty of better options out there with normal human beings for staff.

It lives up to its reputation of costing your whole paycheck to shop at this store, but the quality of the products is very high. I keep going back, so they are doing something right.

A little shocked at customer service. During this covid crisis I wanted to support some smaller stores I typically love and not just Amazon. I love the store in Naperville but happened to be in Downers Grove and stopped by this store for a few items. I must have walked in around 4:50 not realizing the store closed at 5pm. I only needed a few things and when finishing up in dairy section when I was bummed rushed by the salesclerk who aggressively told me the store was closed and I needed to go up and immediately check out.. The only thing I needed was tofu and yogurt but noticed he turned off all the lights in dairy where I was shopping. I looked at my phone and it was 4:59pm . I was just pretty disappointed he didn’t say “hey we are closing can you finish things up in the next 5 minutes and meet me up front” . I understand it’s annoying when customers walk in last minute but I honestly didn’t realize it. Turning off the lights where one is shopping while demanding they check out 1 minute before they officially close is just poor customer services. I won’t be back.

One of my favorite stores with great staff. It’s like a compact version of Whole Foods.

The experienced people at Fruitful Yield are the best for product information and I appreciate their help. They offer friendly environment and fun learning such as ice cream tasting and product tasting such as nut blends and treats. I would love to see them expand the fresh natural produce section. They are interested in helping one find a natural solution. Matt helped me the other day with niacinamide Vit B-3 non-flush. I appreciate the knowledge. Have been going there for years!

This chain promises that all their produce is organic. My mom came in a few days ago and bought some butternut squash which had a non-organic sticker on it- no mention of "organic" or any certification, number coding starting with '4' instead of '9', in other words 100% not organic. The store associate insisted it's organic and she ended up buying it as organic produce! I came to the store a few days later and of course it turned out they received a shipment of non-organic squash. I asked the assistant manager if that's illegal to which he replied no! (which of course selling non-organic produce under organic claim is illegal !!!) I asked for some compensation but they refused and just gave me a refund for the squash. My main problem here is that I'm now starting to have doubts whether all the produce I bought here in the past under organic claim was actually organic!!! Buyers Beware!!!
