Really.......all the staff really are some joke....dosen't have any manner to speak with guardian of patient i don't think they are fully train they really indeed of class of manner very bery bad its camen 0 star btw......man such a shame stafff god knows

All the staff I repeat all the staff of Eden Hospital Darjeeling needs to be trained professionally. Take them to govt. Hospital of other cities and show them how to treat people leave people teach them how to treat patient politely. It's\u200b an incident of 24th November 2019 in the evening 8:30pm. Sisters who were doing night shift ( didn't had name tags) came for a visit in 4th floor male Ward I was looking after my uncle. I just narrated them what Doctor told me in the afternoon and I enquired about my uncle's medication status. One of them started shouting on me and later another colleague of her joined her and told me to speak in Nepali and turn the topic in a different way. They don't even have a percent of professionalism as they don't care about patient around. I have a message for them please "Learn Something from Mother Teresa" And to all the people out there who is reading this comment, district hospital in Darjeeling is not a choice it's the only affordable hospital which most of the people can avail and to the outsider never ever visit this hospital. No choice is there that's why staff out here treat everyone rudely . The only thing which they can do is refer to the hospitals which is outside the town mostly Siliguri medical college.

SUBHRATANU DARIPA

The official name is Sahid Durgamalla District hospital, Darjeeling. Previously called The Eden Hospital and still popular with the same name. More than 300 beds are there with all major disciplines including Medicine, Surgery, Obst abd Gynaecology, ENT, Eye, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics indoor and outdoor and operative services. The emergency is open 24 hrs and manned by Emergency medical officers. There is a CCU & an HDU with 10 beds each. The hospital has an SNCU for sick neonates wth dedicated doctors. It also runs a dialysis unit but lacks a nephrologist. The hospital has a blood bank too. It's a clean and green hospital unlike other state run hospitals.

Very poor maintenance at all. Toilets are dirty and the sewage systems are dirty too.

I was born here, my siblings too.My daughter was born here. It's sad to see there is no historical literature on this hospital for it is very old hospital.

Toilets are dirty due to no water on toilets.drinking water not available. Water purifier is just for show.fare price medical shop have 80% medicines out of stock as always.
