An amazing museum to visit that also does a lot of great work behind the scenes! The staff is incredibly knowledgable and wonderful to chat with while you're visiting. The building itself is beautiful and the exhibits are very interesting. I love this place!

This is a living museum. Learn about the original James family, Dr. Helen Creighton and her family. Her connection to Nova Scotia folklore, a history of photography and an awesome Halifax Explosion exhibit. Run don't walk to the Evergreen house!

Visited the museum with my family on Thursday and we really enjoyed the experience. The staff is friendly, the historical building is well preserved, the artifacts are interesting, and learning about Dartmouth’s history (including some of it most generous leaders) was a great experience! Consider checking it out - it’s worth it.
