This spot was pretty good for the price. We wound up here when we compared the price of parking being included within rates to others nearby. The room was nice, relatively clean and for the price we were happy with it. There is a small bar within the spot, and there was a little library on the third floor. The parking is handy with overflow parking across the street. The only hold up for us was our room not being ready when we checked in at 5pm. It was a late check in at the end of the day, and the 2 minutes we were asked to wait was closer to 20. We waited in the lobby on the antique couch. Not a huge issue, just unusual.

We've stayed here a few times in the past, the price is reasonable and it is located a short drive from the Mic Mac Mall, and Dartmouth Crossing. This was our first time staying since the renovations (still on-going), and while the building is definitely starting to show it's age I have to say the new decor is unique and fun. It feels like a cross between a turn of the 20th century English country home and a G rated haunted house. It's full little surprises that make it fun to look around. The breakfast is also great, with a nice selection, full of little perks such as flavoured coffee to cane sugar, their breakfast has all the fixens' to suit all tastes. Though there are a few things that I would like to see improved. The key locks did not work well, we had to try our keys 2-3 times each time to get in, annoying but manageable. There are no vending machines, which while healthier is not great for midnight snack runs. Finally, while the stairs no long shake since the renovations, the elevator unfortunately still does which make the ride a little tense. All in all, I would keep coming back to this hotel.

I was recently quarantined here as part of my 14 day self isolation period. Since it was a self isolation, I was deprived of the whole experience under these Covid circumstances with many restrictions which is fairly understandable however the room was nice & spacious with large bed, single seat recliner, LCD Tv with cable, a study desk, a small pantry area equipped with a griller, microwave and a coffe machine. Now due to Covid protocols the kitchen was non- functional and the breakfast was pre-packaged and was limited to a muffin, sweet yoghurt, a nutritious bar, small juice and canned fruit.. Not saying it’s bad considering the circumstances but this does not account for a filling breakfast. This surely needs improvement as the breakfast was an overdose of sugar when served everyday. Up till now my review has been quite balanced as such issues didn’t affect me to a point where I had an unpleasant experience but unreliable Internet was was something which surely played down side during my stay. This needs to be improved drastically without a doubt and at least in the room where I was put in as the management claimed and insisted that other rooms connections were just fine. So if it was a problem with my room only, guys you need to dig deep and rectify. On the other hand all the staff was very nice, polite and quite helpful. Amrit from the front desk was very sweet and helpful girl throughout. Overall a good experience but there is a certainty room for more improvement overall. Gud luck.

Not the worst place that I have stayed in but definitely not the best. The the beds and pillows are uncomfortable. we had to switch rooms because the one bed broke when we sat on it, the bath door was broken and could not lock same as the main door. The wall are paper thin so we could not sleep. Both rooms were not very clean and smelled like weed.

They don't tell you ahead of time about the 300 deposit if it's not a Mastercard Branded MasterCard... Plus I waited almost 45 minutes for someone and called the phone to grab someone's attention, for no one to answer... Now I'm driving back to Truro in a rainstorm because they didn't tell me this when I booked my room!!!
