Very pleased with the installation of an insert from this company. Updating the fireplace from its 1963 open hearth fireplace to a wood stove insert was well worth the cost and installation - the heat is better projected into the room instead of being wasted up the chimney.

Very happy with the sales and install team here. We worked with Andrew and Geoff and both were easy to work with and super knowledgeable. The show room is absolutely incredible. They sell a lot of made in Canada units (like Enviro) which I really liked seeing. The price for the unit and install was excellent the the install team did an amazing "clean" install. We went with an Enviro Westport Steel 30,000 BTU unit for our basement and this thing heats up that area in no time. Pipe installs are nice and straight, holes cut into the wall for venting were properly insulated around them and then sealed off with silicon and a nice clean look from outside as well for the gas lines that "T" into the existing propane lines and then into the house. Highly recommend total gas!
I wanted a wood stove. These guys took care of it. 3 weeks from my first phone call to the installed stove. Kurtis did an A job putting it in. Customized it, and made it perfect and I trust its safe and secure for many many years. Couldn't be happier.
I gave them 2 stars because the store looks nice...however.... Be ready to wait months for a service call, and their parts department is horrible. Called to inquire about the price of a part ,with all info, the lady at the desk seemed overwhelmed by the task. 24hr later still don't have quote or shipping time estimate. So took my business elsewhere, ordered from US reseller in Maine...took 10 mins to get quote and arrange payment and shipping...done.
Can’t say enough good things about these guys!! We have an old chimney that caused all sorts of problems for install. It was the end of I’m sure a long day for them and they could have easily said it won’t fit or they’ll try another time. But they worked some Christmas magic and stayed until almost 8pm to get it done. Everything you look for in a tradesman!! Professionalism, customer service and amazing skill.
The best place in HRM to get a stove. Awesome service from day one in the showroom and this continued even after the install. They carry high end product ranges. I was so impressed by the performance of my stove that what I paid for it didn't concern me after I had the chance to test it out. If you're thinking of saving a few bucks by buying a cheaper stove from a big box store - I suggest you go check this place out before you do. The products they carry are in a completely different league. Pricing was fair - I comparison shopped at three stores. I even got a follow up call post install to ask how things were working and to see if I needed any help. The fact that they call you to make sure you're happy after they have your money shows that they really care about their customers. If you're in the market highly suggest you go in and talk to Rowan.
