My wife and I received Lasik by Dr Daynes and it was an amazing experience. We can actually see again! After 20 years of glasses/contacts we have to pinch ourselves every time we wake up and can actually see! Doctor Daynes is extremely personal and the staff really cares for their patients. They were very honest with us throughout the process and gave clear expectations of the surgery and recovery. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in Lasik and ditching the contacts/glasses!

Dr. Daynes has taken care of our family’s vision for years. He recently diagnosed a very rare and time sensitive situation for our daughter-in-law and wouldn’t stop until he had arranged for her to be seen immediately by the top specialist at the Marin Eye facility. In addition, his office staff is friendly, responsive and efficient. I wouldn’t trust our eyes with anyone else.
I was not happy with several things about my experience with Dr. Daynes' office. First the machine they used to read my current glasses prescription was way off, which caused them to give me the wrong prescription at the end of my visit. Second, he had his assistant technician do all the work except for the very last part--but he didn't read any of the notes that she took down after asking me a lot of questions. Then he didn't seem to care at all about me or my long-term eye health. I had mentioned a couple concerns to his assistant but he didn't help me with any of them apart to recommend a quick procedure that I think he did more for his than my benefit. He seemed to just want to move me in and out as quickly as possible. I'd recommend everyone stay away from his office unless you are desperate.
my father lost his eyesight as a result of a failed cataract surgery
Dr. Daynes is very personable. His office staff are kind. However, the front desk staff could do better to communicate with patients. I called to make sure I could come pick up my new eyeglasses. I made the 45 minute drive only to find out that the person who helps new eyeglass patients with initial adjustments is only there on other days. So I get to pick up my glasses and wait until the following week to make the trip back to the office to have them adjusted so I can actually use them. It seems like this information should be communicated BEFORE the patient comes in to pick up new eyeglasses. I'm sure it is common for new eyeglasses to need adjusting on pickup (?). (It just so happens that this skilled eyeglass person is out of the office for this entire week as well. Two weeks since I paid for them; still can't use them.)
Great doctor and great staff very helpful.
