Very nice place a little out of the way but it is very worth it. A lot of unique history text about an hour and a half to look at everything closely and read everything and go through it. I did not know that President Lincoln's grandfather in great-grandfather we're from that County in Virginia.

Visited this museum spring 2018. My husband and I, were so surprised of what this museum has to offer. The video presentation was really wonderful and it helps to easily understand the history of the people and the valley. Also, we adore those people who works in the museum they are very knowledgeable and seems that they enjoy what they are doing. It helps the visitor to be more engage.
This place is a real gem in a lovely little village. They have good programs for the public and interesting exhibits. Their family history library has computers available with very good Geneology programs one can use. There are knowledgeable helpers available in the library on Saturday. They even have used books for sale and are glad to accept your unneeded books that will help support their programs.
Great place to visit. Very knowledgeable people, very helpful. Nice museum.
My wife and I had a great time at the Heritage Museum today. We found it very friendly and informative. The staff was fantastic. Cannot wait to return.
