BBC Latem - De Pinte was formed in 1960 under the name "The Pint Irish"​ with hat inauguration of a men's seniors team in the then KVS competition. 7 years later, the club went on to the Royal Belgian Basketball Association under the new designation BBC Latem - De Pinte. In 2000, BBC Latem - De Pinte with the former Black bears Ghent and Youth Gentson the boot up the center JBOC (Youth Basketball OpleingdsCentrum). Anno 2014, the club has over 200 members who play in 3rd to 4th provincial and national youth in all ranges.
