This place was a great outing for us. We took my 2 year old son there and he had a really fun time. The Marvel exhibit (which we didn't even know was going on AND was sold out) was great. We inquired about it as we were leaving, found out it was sold out, so we left. One of the workers ran out after us into the parking lot and told us we could go in, if we wanted. That was really nice of them. Highly recommend this place.

Spacious facility. Lots of exercisers walking around the magnificent displays of transportation history. We’ve had a membership to the museum and the village for decades. Always a memorable time with our children, and now grandchildren. The train ride in the village is a hit with the little ones.
This museum was an absolute delight! It was NOT just an old car museum. It was so I worth the admission and we really loved this place. So much to look at I can’t name it all. This is a must see destination! The day we visited Aug 2020, the admission was 22.50 for senior 62 and 25 general admission. Hours were 9:30- 5:00. The Village was closed due to covid-19.
This museum has something for everyone! The Henry Ford has a history of cars, including presidential cars that were driven. Planes, trains, and tractors as well! Beyond that they also have an exhibit that looked at what was commonly used in every decade of the 1900s, and several other exhibits. I would plan at least two hours for a visit. Ps. My favorite item from the gift shop was the jewelry made from Mend on the Move, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit social enterprise, employs survivors of abuse in Metro Detroit to create jewelry which provides them with an income while in recovery. Our jewelry is created from salvaged auto parts and car seat leather, symbolic of our commitment to serve women locally in the \motor city\.
A must visit while you in Michigan. Not about cars only. It was about all American life aspects. Perfect for kids and car lovers. Plan to start your visit early morning so you can have a good time.
