The foundation has been so supportive in assisting with Daisy, our GJHS Therapy Dog. They believed in our vision of doing whatever it takes to support and assist students with there emotional and mental health. Their funding provided the next important step in Daisy's training towards her Therapy Dog certification. They understood the far reaching impact this one little dog is having on our students.

I cannot say enough about this organization! They communicate ideas effectively, sponsor and host many local and non-local events, and most importantly, share their pride and love for this community with its members. They always achieve their goal of making Decatur County the best it can be. They helped guide me in the processes for our county’s Lilly Endowment Scholarship and made it look effortless, and I am forever grateful to them. They are all so kind and supportive. Love this organization and hope the best for it!!

Brenda Meyer

Third grade students have benefited from several grants from the Decatur County Community Foundation. Our most recent was Taste of Reading Day. Students enjoyed a variety of reading genres in restaurant settings. The best part of the day is when students were able to select a new book of their own. This would not have been possible without this grant. Thanks from all of Greensburg Elementary Schools 3rd Grade!
