Unfortunately after purchasing a Groupon for a glass blowing class I was mostly unable to reach the merchant. After numerous calls and texts (as specified) I had to contact Groupon and ask them to get in touch with the merchant, only than did I FINALLY receive a reply and upon mentioning I had a Groupon and wanted to book 2 classes, I once again never heard back... This went on for OVER 3 weeks. I understand you work with your hands and can't be near the phone constantly, but that's BAD business. What if I were to become a student for life there? Very disappointed.

My girlfriend and I found Elite Glass on Groupon. While neither of us are artistic, the process itself seemed very interesting so we decided to give it a shot just to see an artist do it. Participating ourselves was just icing on the cake. Please remember, we are not artistic but did this really to watch glass blowing. Jon, the owner and instructor, welcomed us to his shop and walked us through all the safety protocol. You can tell immediately how passionate he is about his art and sharing his knowledge and love with you. He designed this entire facility himself, and it was very impressive. He walked us through the entire process and demonstrated first. He then turned the tools over to us and we worked on the project ourselves under his supervision. The entire time was fun and educational, and the end result was simply amazing. I was shocked that I created this myself (with Jon's help of course, but I did most of the work). Whether you are an artist yourself, or beginners like us, Elite Glass has something for everyone. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to try something new, or wants to develop their skill further. I attached our finished products below (Jon's, my girlfriend's, and mine) so you can how enjoyable this was to those not artistically inclined
My husband and I took an intro class and learned a great deal. The instructor, Jon, was knowledgeable, well-prepared, a natural teacher and passionate about glass. In addition to making our own beautiful glass pendants, we left the class with an understanding of how the torch works, how glass works in the flame AND we had a new skill. We're now inspired to create more glass objects in our next class!
So much fun, John was so patient and informative. We had a great time!!
My S/O and I did their glass blowing class that we found on Groupon. We had our own instructor who lead us through the process of making a glass leaf pendant. It was great fun and though I was completely naive to this craft, I never felt lost or unable to complete the next step. I recommend. If you've had enough wine and painting dates - go fire up a torch here and melt some glass into something beautiful with your partner.
