Delicious food great atmosphere and friendly service! I recommend d this outstanding restaurant . We had the pastashio coated salmon . It was cooked perfectly as was the delicious clam chowder which was full of flavor and clams. The fried calamari was perfect. We finished the meal with the definitive creme brûlée.

Such a great location in the heart of Del Mar right on the beach! Great menu, food and service. Wonderful patio dining. Fun bar scene at night during non-COVID times. Highly recommend!

I planned a suprise birthday dinner for my husband and had a confirmed reservation time from Poseidon on the Beach. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time and were told that we would have to wait 45 min for our table. Past the sunset dinner time. We had other birthday plans and could not wait that long. There was an open table and when I asked if we could have that one, I was told the restaurant owner's personal friends wanted that table but they had not arrived yet. I explained it was my husband's birthday and suggested the friends take a later time since they had not arrived and I was told the restaurant does "not treat VIPs that way". I am not a restaurant owner but I would guess that a quality restaurant would want all of their guests to feel like a VIP. We left without the birthday sunset dinner I had planned. What a disappointment to have such horrible service in such a beautiful city.
