I used to be a frequent customer until today. I understand there are certain protocols in place because of Covid, but the long wait outside in freezing weather have gotten ridiculous. 5 customers waited outside while TWO employees helped ONE customer inside with a custom order. After standing outside waiting for 10 minutes as this went on, I decided I was done. Maybe I'll go back when it gets warmer. Owenership has to implement better processes to streamline their dealings with customers. Online ordering doesn't even list every item they have. There doesn't seem to be a price list available to new hires because they have to keep chasing down another employee to help them with prices, and that has customers waiting longer. People won't continue to patronize if they continue to operate like this, but I could be wrong. When you get fat, sometimes you begin to take your customer base for granted and know they will come crawling back regardless of the service.

I’ve been contemplating making this review for days. It is a tradition in my family to have denise’s at ALL of our family events because it has been in the family for so long, especially being from north Philly and now moving away. First of all, the customer service is terrible now. Yes it is more staff and diversity, but no one communicates. And a few of the women are very impatient. But most importantly, the delicacies are not the same!! I’m not sure if it’s because of covid slowing business but everything was stale(even the kids said it) from the donuts down to the preordered large pound cake!! I am just so appalled after 20 years of business ...
I’ve had two specialty cakes done here and they were both phenomenal. Just bring in a picture and the staff here will handle the rest. I appreciate the staff being patient with me as I modified my design to make it perfect! The cake was both beautiful and delicious and was quite a hit at my graduation party. I love their cookies, pies and pastries also. The apple pound cake, sweet potato pie and heath cookies are some of my favorites but everything here is great! Be prepared for a wait whenever you stop by. Hopefully they will be able to hire more staff or streamline the ordering process soon, but it’s definitely worth the wait
I love Denise's been a customer for years, but today I was very disappointed. I bought donuts and they taste different the glazed was crispy and cracked all of the donuts, also the Boston cream was sour, and the vanilla cream tasted funny as well.This is the first time I was disappointed. Please let me know if it was a new baker or what happened today.
Love Denise's! I have been purchasing birthday cakes for years and have never been displeased with service or purchases. The cakes are perfect, fresh not overly sweet icing and soft delicious cake. The absolute best!
