Great food and great service in a casual, outdoor restaurant! We love getting take out food from the Dog House. During the COVID-19 pandemic they have been very well run in taking phone orders, but they had to cut back on the hours they are open due to staff shortages in mid-late August (with kids having to go back to college). And I just learned they had to close temporarily due to staffing shortages. They are opening on Labor Day weekend. I hope they can open up full time next season. Though this is definitely a casual, outdoor eating establishment, they have great food. We have had the regular hot dog, hot dog with chili, french fries, limeade, and fish tacos which we have thoroughly enjoyed. In years past, their service seemed a bit slow at times, but that has changed in the last year or two. Sometimes I order over the phone with the COVID-19 situation, and the food is ready in 5 minutes! My only suggestion for the owners, please stick with the original logo artwork, or come up with a different new logo. The new logo looks like a strange alien face. Thanks! Good luck...

Hard working friendly staff, great menu. Great place for take-out during COVID, and when we get back to normal, fun place to sit and grab a quick bite to eat. Options for everyone!

This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. everytime I want to go to a fair dinner, this restaurant comes instantly to my head. Great and diverse food and a large menu.great staff members, and nice atmosphere. Not less important, the cost is affordable. I suggest this place with no doubt.

This small, local, roadside stand with lots of pet-friendly, outdoor seating is one of my favorite spots to stop. The dogs are good, toppings extensive, the homemade lemonade is included in a kids meal, and they have thin, slightly greasy, onion rings. Bring the kids, bring the cousins, and feed everyone without breaking the bank. After you've toasted your own buns in the beach head over for a chili cheese dog on one of the DogHouse toasted buns!

Their BLT dog hit the spot and the service was top notch. Very organized operation!

Good! Really nicely grilled dogs with more topping combinations than you can handle. Super friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating.

The fries from here used to be awesome but since new ownership are thick and oily. Also the menu and exterior changes detract from the feeling of being a Dennisport staple. With that, I don’t really think the new owners realize the cultural impact The Dog House has had on the community. You can’t repackage the place and add all this bar food and think that long term regulars are going to want to head back. Simplicity and Consistency were two things that made the place great and while I can’t speak on the latter, the lack of simplicity is overly abundant now. I think the quality of the dogs are still pretty great but the aura of the place isn’t the same. And I’d have to say that the place will probably be sold again in 3 years if nothing is done to remedy the mistakes they’ve made.
