My wife and I stopped in the Chestnut Tree for breakfast, while passing thru Denton. We had traditional eggs benedict and smoked salmon benedict. Both were OUTSTANDING!!! The facility was very quaint and felt very clean too (during COVID this is even more important to us). The staff was very friendly, even one of the kitchen staff stopped by to say hello. If we find ourselves in Denton again, we will definitely return! PS - Hey Ethan, Good luck and GO EAGLES!!!

Lovely little place to hangout and look across the square. The service is great and food wonderful. I loved the mini muffins they had at each table and the fresh lemonade. The wall decor inside the restroom was awesome. Loved the hodge-podge recipe sheets all across the walls.

I’m honestly really sad. My boyfriend wanted to try out this place for the first time and the atmosphere is lovely. The coffee was pretty good too. And our waiter was WONDERFUL—that’s mostly why I’m sad, because he was so kind. The food, at least for me, was really, really bad. I ordered the pioneer omelet and the ingredients were stuffed inside an unseasoned egg omelet—I had never seen an omelet made that way. The omelet was soaked in tomato juice and everything was bland, with wilted spinach and spongey mushrooms. I ordered bacon, and it came out cold. The only thing I enjoyed was the coffee and the side of avocado. My boyfriend enjoyed his southwest egg Benedict, but they left the skin on on all his fruit..? I hate writing bad reviews, but I could have made a better omelet at home. :/

Very cute little bistro, we tried many things on the menu, and while everything was delicious the quiche was the absolute best thing we had! Strongly recommend getting the quiche. Our server, who was a gentleman, was very accommodating and made sure our drinks were full!
