UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE EXPERIENCE!! BEWARE OF MEDICAL ASSOCIATES OF DENTON!!! Scheduled an appointment. I was running about five minutes behind. Got stuck behind traffic. Called five minutes prior to my appointment and informed the receptionist. She told me not to worry and to continue heading their way. I was around the corner. Pulled into the parking lot and got out of my car. The same receptionist called move back to inform me that I was seven minutes late (it was 9:06 AM) and they have a seven minute late policy, so the physician was unable to see me that day. I informed her that I was standing in the parking lot. She informed me that the physician had multiple patients to see even though the parking lot was completely empty. She was extremely rude and condescending. She was not helpful about rescheduling times or dates. I WILL NOT be going back to medical associates of Denton. I called another physician and they will be seeing me Monday. I will never come back to this office.

The nurse was great that did my physical. The lady at the front desk charged me and when I went to the followup they said that there is a followup visit cost. They refuse to go over my blood work with me and said that I have to make a appointment to go over the blood work. Please do not waste your time with this office.

I reccoment that people avoid this place like the plague. I've experienced horrible bedside manner and rude secretaries. Of the three times I've been there, I never even met my doctor. The phlebotomist is employed by an external lab that they use for blood work, that charged my insurance for a laundry list of test that not only were not disclosed to me prior, but we're not even run nor covered. I then found out with research that this lab that they are in bed with has an ongoing class action lawsuits against them for doing this kind of thing. To top it off, they are advertising some kind of \Herbalife\ type pyramid scheme nutritional products in their lobby. If that isn't unprofessional, then I don't know what is.

Started off great, but went downhill over the last year. First, I agree with the supplement push. We attended the seminar, only to be told that the program would be 5,000 each. I don't know many people that have that kind of cash, let alone 10,000 for a couple. We had the twice yearly blood tests done, and then I got a strange letter from my insurance company which suggested the reason they were given for the blood work was that I had a condition (which I do not). That raised a red flag. It has been extremely difficult to get our prescriptions refilled, which was never a problem in the past. Crystal at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional to my husband and my pharmacist over the last script refill that took way too long to get approved. My husband then went in last month with a sinus infection and was told a script would be called into our pharmacy. It never was. Rather than mess with the staff again, he toughed it out with over-the-counters. We decided then that we would change providers.
