I shop at Arc often, especially this one. But today will be the last time I step foot in this specific location. I had purchased a rolling rack without a price tag from a different arc location. The cashier had to call someone up to give it a price. They did not tag the item and I happily left. The same day I discovered the rolling rack was less expensive to buy brand new. I decided to take back the used rolling rack in exchange for my store credit. I ended up going to a different location closer to my house to return the item and they refused because the item wasn’t tagged. Even though my receipt showed it was a tagless item. The 2 people helping questioned if I even bought it from an Arc and that there was nothing they could do. That I had to go back to the other location. I’ve worked retail for years as a manager. They didn’t even try to help me at all. They could have called the other location and asked them about it since it was literally 3 hours prior that I purchased it. This location also refused to give me my money back once because they made an error when ringing me up and didn’t get the discounts on. It was almost 20 I lost because of an employee error.

So.....I have been shopping here for 15 years. I asked for a discount on a polished rock that had a crack clear through the back. The front was okay as I was going to use it in a terrarium display. 5.99 for a polished rock and they gave me a hard time, on 50% off day, meaning the rest of the store was on sale except the little pink tag rock. Really? It is a rock people. Anyway, lost a shopper....over a rock. On a side note, the staff has turned over now and is appalling. Another cashier chimed in on the price of the rock and shamed me for even asking for a discount. What? I'd rather pay full price and be treated with respect. Ya know what I mean? Today is my last trip, and no, I most definitely did NOT buy the rock!

I'm very thankful for my volunteer position at the arc thrift store. I'm very grateful to have managers and supervisors who are very supportive, caring and heartwarming. Great place to be for individuals with developmental disabilities.
