I've canvassed before and it's not always the best job. People in general just suck, and they are mean. But out of the companies I've worked with this one has been better than all the others. The starting pay was higher, the hours were more manageable, And this company is fairly good at keeping the work flowing. So you don't have to re-canvass the same neighborhood 10 or 15 times until everybody hates you. If you're not doing well with a specific company they're canvassing for, and they are working with 2 or 3 others, they can sometimes accommodate you if you will work hard. This is definitely a job where you have to have a good mood all the time. But once you get past that it is good money with plenty of autonomy. I would recommend it to plenty of people

This company is great for political canvassers.

Parks paid petitioners outside of local businesses that accost, harass, and try to convince people that the document they want you to sign means something different than what is actually written in the text. Obviously contract for shady PACs to try and modify law to benefit whatever political party and PAC is willing to pay for coerced signatures. Not democracy, and it's worrisome how many people I see signing these ill-informed petitions. Again, not democracy. This business should not exist.

I'd stay away if you can. After cutting everyone's pay, but still making everyone work the same hours (even more lately), nobody really wants to be there and they usually just go smoke pot when they're supposed to be working. The management is unaware of how to talk to people, and they also seem unhappy. I think they drink on the job, too. There are much better jobs to have in the Denver area.
