Tina Johnson

I have been going to singing and guitar lessons with John for many years, and he is fantastic. He allows you to learn at your own pace, and he is flexible. He is supportive and patient. I honestly don't practice as often as I should, and this always stressed me out when I was younger and taking lessons. John is the type of teacher that doesn't have his own expectation of what you should or should not be doing in your practice, just someone who would say, if XYZ is your goal, then here are some things you could try to achieve that.

John is the real deal! I started vocal lessons several years ago just to see if I could learn to sing a little, not expecting to be able to do much with my raspy voice. With infinate patience and working with my personal frustration trying to sing (while playing guitar), we have progressed far beyond my early expectations. John has an intuitive approach to teaching that focuses on what is important to cover in a relaxed and supportive environment. I still have a long way to go to be the singer that I think I can be so I will continue to take lessons to improve my skills. Thanks again John!
