When our tiny Maltese mutt was hit by a car, we didn't expect her to live. Her pelvis was fractured in four places and her tail was broken at the base. Additionally, it was discovered that she had a mammary tumor, two large bladder stones and had never been spayed (we adopted her at age 10, and she was now 11 1/2). Foothills Animal Shelter recommended Planned Pethood. The veterinarians were willing to try to put her broken body back together, and the price was affordable. She spent three weeks hospitalized at Planned Pethood on Tennyson. During the last week, she had a staph infection, and we weren't allowed to see her. When it was time to take her home, our doubt was great. Three and a half months later, our little dog is doing very well. She walks and runs. Her sparkle is back, her hair is silky, and she's interested in life. Her back legs have not recovered sufficiently to propel her up stairs, but we think that she might someday recover totally. We are thrilled and delighted that our little dog is still with us. We are grateful for the affordable medical services that allowed us to continue enjoying our little Tootles.

I've tried a few places in town over the last 20 years. I currently live about 20-25 minutes away, but I'll still do the drive, its so worth the trip. They have earned my trust several times over, caring for 3 dogs in my extended family. They saved the lives of 2 toy poodles. I've seen them in the trenches, they care! Best vaccination prices in town, also a plus.
I needed a orthopedic surgeon for my doberman puppy who broke her leg. So, no one answers the phone, they called me back right away and got her in the next day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The surgery went great and they spayed her at the same time and the price was perfect. Keep up the great work!
We were extremely happy when we first visited this clinic in 2010. Their prices were reasonable and we felt like the care they gave our dog was adequate. However, since this time they have drastically gone down hill. They never answer the phone when you call. They don't respond to emails. They even took forever to submit medical records that my insurance company requested and we almost didn't get paid by the insurance because of their delay. Last time I was there I even overheard a heated conversation between the woman at the front desk and a customer about losing their dog! This place is now terrible. No stars would be a better recommendation. We have since found a better clinic that actually takes care of its customers. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
If you're going here to get a quick, easy vaccination shot, it's all fine and dandy. They aren't very personable, but you'll get what you need at a low cost. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone for anything other than that. I had my husky spayed here in August. When I came to pick her up, I waited about 45 minutes before going back up to the desk to which they responded "oh, we forgot about her... what's her name? What was she here for?" They had completely misplaced my dog for a whole five minutes before "finding" her and bringing her out COVERED in vomit. I then had to ASK the woman to please clean her off a bit before I had to take her into my car (as if that wasn't a given - or something that should have been done way before this point). Obviously nobody had been watching her, comforting her, or caring for her post surgery. This disappoints me and breaks my heart. To make matters worse, her disolvable stitches have yet to dissolve, and now I will need to pay to have them removed elsewhere because I obviously can't trust that my animals are in good hands when they're at Planned Pethood. It's ridiculous I have to even post this about a clinic who claims to care about animals. Steer clear of this place.
Very compassionate, honest vets with the pet's well being at the heart of their business! They truly care about animals and will go above and beyond when a beloved pet needs it. Very affordable too!
If your beloved fur baby needs general vaccinations Planned Pethood is an excellent and economical choice. However if your pet is ill or needs actual vet care please look for another choice. I understand that they have soooo many clients and their staff works very hard. However they do not answer the phone. They do not return calls and they expect you to leave your pet in their care but communicating and letting you know how your fur baby is sucks. Would I rather they take care of my pet than answer my call absolutely. However when you're done call me and let me know. Our kitty was very ill and needed a vets help. Not only did they NOT help. They made matters worse and when he sadly died a no one from their team knew when he passed away and they waited over 12 hours to even tell me. I have used this clinic for over 20 years and this will be our last visit.
I completely agree with the other comments about poor phone management and call backs. I made an appointment for a very specific reason and left with absolutely no more info than I could have gotten from the website. This used to be a good vet office but has gone down hill. It's sad because I really liked them back in the day when they were true to their mission.
