I'm new to Taken Home Care but I already think they're awesome. Great communication in the office and to the care givers. I as a caregiver appreciate being informed and they do great. The clients are pleased which makes me pleased!

The caregivers that they send to care for my mother are very experience, respectful, and compassionate in what they do. The office team does a great job with communicating with me whenever there is a change in schedule. I would highly recommend to any family member new to home care.
As a caregiver with Talem, the communication with the office staff is amazing with this particular agency. There has always been someone available when I’ve called, so my questions are quickly answered and concerns attended to. I feel that there is respect for my time in both my personal and work life, so I never feel overwhelmed. The orientation offers great explanation and skills practice for those who are inexperienced in non-skilled caregiving. With more and more families wanting to keep their loved ones home with them, there is definitely the perfect Client caregiver match to be made. For caregivers looking for non-skilled agencies, I highly recommend Talem for those looking for Part-time or Full-time work.
I have worked with Talem Home Care for some time now and can say this has been a great experience. The caregivers, management, and clients have all made my time here with Talem enjoyable. I would say this is the best home care team in town!

They pretend to be everything that they are not. Dear Talem, Please stop acting like you’re so surprised “shocked” on the phone when we quit. I hated seeing Talem’s number come across my phone... don’t answer... it’s just more of the pretending. More of the BS. This company creates an atmosphere of tension, instability, frustration and distrust. In my time with this company I have not once seen an employee of ethnicity be given a chance to grow. They’ll tell you there’s opportunity to grow. Really there’s not though. At least if you’re a minority. As a minority you get the opportunity to increase your work load (clients). A load that comes with minimal training. You don’t get the opportunity to walk thru those doors and have a seat, a voice, motivate or be a decision maker. You’re not included. Pros Clients - Some Cons Pay - Lower wages (not paid equally) Benefits - What benefits (meaningless) Job Security - Barely Environment - Not minority friendly Opportunity - What opportunity (you’re kept at the bottom). In this company, you’re overlooked. Unless they’re telling you what you’ve done wrong. Here... here, you’re just “The Help” We exist in tension. Work were there’s opportunity, you’re happy, respected, included and have a voice that’s both listened to and heard. Were your efforts are appreciated. It’s truly upsetting to find out and see how little we are valued here. Do better and want more for yourself... Create your first opportunity. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
