This museum houses the most impressive collection of Native American prehistoric stone artifacts I have ever seen and in a very informative display. It also houses an amazing button collection and an authentic log cabin with pioneer contents developed originally for the Fellow-Reeve Museum formerly housed at Friends University. The bank exhibits from early Derby history and the firefighters room provide a close up opportunity to view distinctive memorabilia. Additionally, an early classroom has been set up to visualize one of the original rooms in the 1920's era school building that now houses the museum. Music rooms, early pharmacy, pioneer farm implements, and an authentic covered wagon actually used to transport early Kansas settlers are also very impressive.
All students should check this museum out. It has a great variety in this collection.
