Pleased with the service I received from EMT and certainly a lot better than Virgin. I took the London to Sheffield train in first class and the service was really good. The staff really know how to deliver a top end service. The return train was a bit dated and they couldn’t do hot food due to the fact that the train equipment wasn’t up to the necessary requirements but that didn’t matter because what I had to eat was really fresh, the train was clean, the staff were really pleasant and the service was reliable.

Trains are regularly overcrowded and at the weekends they will put on less carriages. Can only prey they will renationalise the trains. East Midlands know full well the trains are overcrowded but still have less carriages.

Old rolling stock. No charge points for phones or laptops on many trains. Poor catering. Staff are generally nice though.

Staff on board are in the most part helpful and the rolling stock is in good order(generally). However the trains are a bit dirty and could do with a good wipe down.
