I think the negative reviews on here are harsh. We’re very fortunate to have access to free health care in the UK . However it’s not 1960 with medical paternalism and Dr Finley nipping round to your house check that you’re ok . We have to take some responsibility for our own health and well-being . GPs do not have finite resources and the issues of getting through on the telephone or accessing appointments are universal to most practices . Parking is an issue but it’s not the fault of the surgery . they do not own the building or the carpark . If I have an appointment I make sure I have enough time to find somewhere to park . If It’s a routine appointment (ie I’m not ill ) I’ve found that if I put my left leg forward my right leg follows and if I keep repeating the process (its called walking) parking isn’t a problem and the space that my car would occupy can be used by someone who needs it . If I , or a family member , are unwell , we try self care first if it’s appropriate , pain relief, ask for advice at a pharmacy etc . If we need to ring the surgery we know there’s likely to be a long wait to get through . There’s absolutely nothing we can do about it so no point being angry , we do get through eventually . 8am-8pm every day of the year we can go to the Open Access Centre if we can’t access an appointment with out own gp practice . I’ve never had an issue accessing care / treatment when needed . My opinion is that they are doing a great job with the resources they have . I’ve never once been denied timely and appropriate care .

If the option to put zero was there I would! Dread trying to ring for an appointment on the very odd occasion I need one as its always a total farce - the system is seriously discriminatory against you if you are employed!! I'd write more but with all the multiple reviews saying exactly the same thing its not necessary as it's very easy to get the picture of the quality of service provided here!!!

Tried to call today, been kept more than 30 mins on waiting just to drop my call after complaining to the receptionist about the bad service! I was waiting for a very important letter from the GP regarding my child to be sent to school and a copy of it to me , as the doctor stated! This never happened !! I asked to see where is that letter and why neither me nor school received it, and the secretary told me “oh, just yesterday been processed this letter, and you have to pay a fee to get this letter as it is considered as a supportive one!!!! I said but the letter is not a supportive one , it is part of the treatment that the school needs to know about, and I didn’t ask the doctor to write a supportive letter for me , just for her to say, “I don’t know, my colleague is in a meeting, “ i asked if I can speak to the manager and she refused , I asked if I can speak to the supervisor or any senior member of staff, and the drop the call by purpose! The service in this surgery is zero from long time ago ! They don’t answer the phone , they keep you waiting for ages and then drop the call!, they never give a straight answer to your complaint! And more they everytime blame their computers for their bad services! They just want patients to walk away and get rid of them!

Currently this surgery is refusing to pay key staff who contract covid 19, no sick pay... shame on you...

Don't bother. Total waste of time. No duty of care. GP's do not help with my bipolar but make me feel worse. The irony is they got a glowing report from the Quality Care Commission?!
