Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. They are very likely to be running a scam. Somehow none of my credit cards worked when we went to pick up the car. I called my bank, and was assured that no request was even made to my account. But yet, goldcar refused my cards. Instead they forced us to pay with debit card, which conveniently they would only accept if you buy additional insurance from them. Which was double the price of the rental itself. Since they are in the middle of nowhere and we had many luggage, we went along with it. Terrible terrible company. They seem cheap when in reality they are misleading, misrepresenting and frankly commuting misconduct. Avoid!

Please read the reviews with details of a horrible experience here that I totally relate to. I was offered a car with a red light on the dashboard that remained lit and beeped after a covering a very short distance. According to the car manual, it was sign of a critical electric error and urged to stop the vehicle immediately. When I reported the issue to the staff and asked them repeatedly to inspect the car and check its condition, they refused and insisted that it was perfect and ready to go. I could not believe the attitude and rudeness of the staff, and the only solution they offered was cancelling the contract (with no refund, of course). Look elsewhere if you are looking for a rental car agency in this area, take this advice from a Spaniard. They make good our saying: \cheap things turn out expensive\.
Do not choose them, they will trick you. Cars are full of small scratches and bumps. When starting the rental you will be asked to confirm them by signing a form. Very pushy to make you pay for a supplementary insurance, if you don't, they will charge you hundreds of euros for some of the scratches.
Misleading rental practices. Used it in Feb-20 because it was the cheapest offer but looking back wasn't worth it. The shuttle to the rental agency is not reliable (waited 45 min). I got unsolicited insurance and other services added to the contract and still trying to get those refunded 3 months later. Be mindful that unsolicited services are not visible on the tablet version of the contract you are given to review and sign. Always ask for a printed version before signing and ensure you get the digital copy in your mailbox before leaving the office so you don't get a nasty surprise when you only get back part of your deposit. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.
Avoid this company at all costs!! We are going to file a complaint through the European Commission. We hired a car from here for a week and it was an absolute scam. The car was totally covered in damage when we arrived and not well cleaned inside. After we returned it we were told everything was ok and to go to the airport. That evening we received an email saying we were to be charged 550 Euro for damage to a wheel that we provided photographic proof was there before our hire and for \additional cleaning\ because there was a small amount of sand in the footwell. We have tried through every possible channel to contact them to get our money back, but have not had not had any reply other than an automated response.
