My Mother has been a patient of Dr. Litman for some time now and has had to literally cry and beg to get her medications refilled. My Mother is severelly handicapped having polio and post polio syndrome which has left her legs with little to no use to her. She can not walk and uses her arms to move herself and provide daily hygiene, food, toileting etc. She had breast cancer, a neck surgery a herniated disk, and has detached both bicep muscles from over use. Her rotary cuffs are both torn and need surgery. She is faced with unrelenting pain each and everyday from the post polio and other muscle, neck and back problems all day and night. She falls quite often now that the biceps are no longer attached and helping to lift her. The falls cause additional pain and cause her to have to take pain medication more often then prescribed at times leaving her without medications the last week of the month. Dr. Litman will not refill her medications early for her even though the insurance company will pay for them 7 days early. She has begged and cried and pleaded with his office over the phone and has been treated disgustingly and force to suffer at the hands of this Doctor. He should not be aloud to call himself a doctor, he tortures people is what he does. People on hospice are given as much medication as they want to keep them comfortable because they are dying but she is forced to suffer just trying to live. Shame on Dr. Litman for making someone who has already been through so much suffer to the point of praying to god for death. I hope that someday he is in such pain and made to beg and plead and cry and pray for death so he can see what it is like. Dr. Ketha is the same way. It is a very sad thing to have your parent tell you they can't take it any more that death would be better than the suffering they have to endure. To see them break down in tears just trying to make a sandwich because the pain is so intense and she has no medication to ease it.
