This is a nice museum. I went here while I was in Detroit and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into the museum and paid for a ticket to the museum at the admissions desk. I walked down to the lower floor of the museum, where I saw a replica of a historic Detroit street from the 1800s. There were exhibits about what Detroit used to be like, which was pretty good. There were lots of storefronts with model stores in them, which was pretty nice. After I walked around there, I went to the ground level of the museum, where I saw an exhibit about the automotive industry in Detroit. There was a Model T that I sat in, which was pretty fun. The automotive industry had a life sized replica of a car assembly line, where you could see robots building a car. After I looked at that, I went to an area of the museum that had exhibits about the Detroit Riot of 1967. That exhibit was pretty good, and I left the museum after going to that exhibit. There was also a Kid Rock exhibit in the museum, but I didn’t go there so I can’t comment on what that’s like. I gave this museum five stars because it has nice exhibits.

Great staff. Had a fun time. My kids really enjoy going here. Lots to see. They display a rich history of the city. The old Detroit streets downstairs is so cool. We love it.
Had a great first date with a great friend from times past. Great place to enjoy the past as well as learn. Gives a greater understanding to where Detroit was and how it has changed. Will definitely go again. Hopefully with my new/old love.
An awesome experience! The lower floor is very captivating. Great place to take friends who are visiting out of town!
All the facts and local history was exciting to hear. My kids were amused with the soda maker. It was like stepping back in time with all the artifacts and exhibits. Truly amazing and budget friendly with it being in downtown historical Detroit!!
