Acoustics are amazing! The Aretha aka Chene Park is an amazingly beautiful music venue on the banks of Detroit River. Views from the seats are of the water and Canada. You can even see Belle Isle. Seats are comfortable and the stage is solid. There is a guy who wont let you go swimming. Lol Bathroom attendants were polite and parking was reasonable. Would definently return for more LIVE music.

The new name is a disgrace to other legendary female vocalists that performed at Chene Park such as Phyllis Hyman, Chaka Khan, Rachelle Ferrell and Detroit's own Anita Baker, etc Like Greenfield Village was rebadged \The Henry Ford\ and Pine Knob \DTE Energy (whatever)\, Detroiter's will always know and call these places by their original names. Just wait til Aretha is forgotten and her \Ampitheater\ is rebadged Biden Bank Concert Hall or Chik-a-Fil-a Knob. (Don, Miki Howard - not \Nikki\ was a drunken mess lip syncing at a Mt. Clemens venue in 1998. I see nothing has changed with that mess up until a year ago per your review. Do not she'll out 1 of your hard earned money to see these people live anymore). That mess should be banned from Detroit and the entire state of Michigan after what I heard she did to a room at the River Place Hotel. Do not finance their drug habits anymore!

The Sitting area was Great a wonderful area to see the River. The Staff was very nice. The operator of Aretha Franklin Amplified theater said people can have a. Funeral service there when losing a love one. That they are there for us.

Another favorite jewel of our city. So excited that it will soon be renamed 'Aretha Franklin Park.' One of the most beautiful music amphitheaters in the world. Imagine sitting listening to one of your favorite artists while watching them perform on a stage with the Detroit River and another country (Canada) as its backdrop.
