Completed my 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification a few weeks ago and the tutor Mike was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable and just fantastic at relating the requirements to real life and to the different specialisations that were in the class. Shame I can only give 5 stars!

I thought when we was learning and taking notes. And it's an open book we could youse are notes. Then told on the exam time we couldn't youse them. I have learning difficulties witch I never mentioned. With reading and understanding words phases what they mean. And my notes would have helped me more. So being an open book I don't under stand why I could not youse them. Not saying I would have passed any way. I still might have failed. The hands on practical work. That was brilliant I really enjoyed it. And passed that no problem. Thank you. Good teacher as well.
I've just undertaken the 18th edition wiring regs course at the Ascott Drive venue in Derby, Good facilites on offer, coffee and a good lunch menu. Unfortunately the lecturer lacked the ability to expand his teaching methods beyond death by power point. He lacked charisma and the ability in making it fun to learn. A geniunely nice guy, let down by the constant use of poor terminology, some dating back to the 15th edition. He failed to engage the learners from the offset with no ice breakers or welcoming. The PowerPoint presentation contained typos and teaching aids were fairly sparse. His knowledge of the 18th edition wiring regulations was mediocre as we spent the best part of 2 1/2 days skipping over the regs. I didn't expect every page to be visited but perhaps better clarity, putting into context and learner engagement would may of helped? I'd do a better job myself in delivering this course.
