Developmental Initiatives for Advancement (DIA) is a non-government organization founded in 2015 in New Delhi, India. It was set up by a team of professionally trained social workers who want to make changes in the lives of poor people. DIA has its aim "to bring prosperity among the disadvantaged, poor and backward people and mainstreaming them into the development." The main objectives are: 1. To educate Underprivileged children, youth, and adults and provide them all equal services and employment opportunities 2. To work for the betterment of the society and upliftment of poor and disadvantaged sections of the society by working to reduce poverty and promote harmony in the society. 3. To undertake rural development activities through experimental and innovative efforts and involve participants in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of activities envisaged and provide training for income generation and life skills etc. Presently DIA is operating in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi (UT). DIA has established a rural library in a village of Bareilly District of UP.
