Shelby T. Rietzel is one of the worst doctors I have ever had in my life. She failed to tell me my urine was positive for a UTI, which later resulted in a kidney infection. When I came in a few days prior to my hospitalization for the kidney infection complaining of muscle pains and side pain, I was prescribed burspar for anxiety? Buspar has lactose and she is well aware that I am allergic to lactose. Then I brought my mother with me to help me talk to her because I am not good at standing up for myself and when my mom told her about the stuff she misdiagnosed she kicked me as a patient. No one was rude to her, but she needs to be held accountable for her mistakes, and she will be. Doris at the front is not super friendly either. The bad reviews are not lying or just difficult patients.

This office is perfect! From the friendly greeting from the front reception staff, to the check in nurse,they make you feel like you are a human, not just a folder.The doctor is genuinely concerned with your issues and they follow up with you.The check out receptionists are friendly and thorough.The call backs are timely.10 stars!!

I typically have really liked this office, but after my visit yesterday, I have NEVER been treated so poorly, so humiliated, so embarrassed. I was shamed in their office, I was treated as if I was lying about my life long illness, not to mention asked several times by the nurse what “condition” do I have- clearly breaking HIPPA laws- my HIPPA agreement is with me and my doctor, not the nurse who is simply administering a shot. I left the office in tears.

This office is overbooked and can not adequately treat their patient load. My kids have not seen their actual doctor in over two years. We can’t even get a PA appointment for over three weeks. The only thing this office wants to schedule for is yearly check ups. I’m just told to go to an urgent care for any illness or injury (Lansing urgent care in dewitt has always been awesome). My son has unresolved physical and mental delays. My daughter has a cronic swollen tonsil problem and misses school and is always in bed. We can not get any consistent treatment or causes or resolution from this office. I do not need to take them to the hospital. I need a consistent doctor that is available to treat the whole body and improve quality of life. I would not recommend this office as a family doctor option. I am looking for a doctor that is willing to take patients with poor insurance and has the time to treat both acute illness and chronic conditions.

Find a different doctors office! These doctors have no respect for their patient's time. On multiple occasions I have taken time off work to go to this office and have my time wasted. My doctor even told me today \you didn't even need to have a checkup.\ (A month ago she told me I did need a checkup and had me make this appointment.) Seems very fraudulent!
