Visited the Kiger Gorge Overlook Monday 8/10/2020. The overlook itself is not handicap accessible as it is at the end of a rocky path, parking area is gravel. Roads in this area are gravel and washboard. Would not recommend for young children as there are steep drop offs at the end. Beautiful area and a must see. Great information kiosk at the end. Big parking area, no bathrooms here. We saw a hunter here on a quad and and 2 other people in a car. We also found a geocache we weren't looking for here. The trail to the Overlook is not long.

Best time to visit is mid-July, when the wildflowers are in full bloom here.
Breathtakingly beautiful, extremely windy but incredible.
Absolutely SPECTACULAR!!!! Please remember this is delicate habitat. Pack in and pack out. Please stay on the trails! And slow down for other vehicles on the road.
It is a good gravel road with some washboard. Snow at higher elevation in mid October. Fantastic view.
