If you have interest in oil journey of Assam Oil currently Oil India LTD then must visit this museum. You get a glimpse of the journey during British days, the type of equipment used and lot more. The first well done by Assam Oil is located here called Discovery well no.1. The museum also displays geological explanation about origin of oil. Interesting part is even today if you press earth with your shoes, oil oozes out.

I would rate this completely 5 star This place really deserve this rating. Very well maintained. The entrances ticket cost only Rs 10 per person. Which includes the cost for going inside the enclosed museum too. Things are preserved very well with life size dummy for showing the activity. Pl note photographs are not allowed inside the enclosed museum

Very good for educative purpose. Clean and quiet. It's not overcrowded like other places and emanates an aura of colonial times. The artifacts are well preserved and well presented. Photography is prohibited inside the museum. And if you are lucky, you may also sight the endangered Hornbill bird.
