Incredible spot. This battle location highlights the intensity of the War and the inches that were fought over. Definitely worth the visit to learn about the objectives the soldiers had and the turmoil they experienced. The site has been cleverly maintained to appear how it may have done all those years ago.

We came to Dodengang as part of a whistlestop tour of some of the WW2 sites around Calais - what appealed to us was seeing trenches and getting a sense of what they were like. This relatively small site is very well preserved and tells the story of what went on here well - definitely worth a visit!

Impressive to visit, the photos of the soldiers in WW1 give you an idea of the life in the trenches. Minus is that the opening hours are unclear. We have been here several times outside the holidays, although it should have been open according to the openinghours information board, it seems closed all the time.

Fascinating and well preserved...hard to imagine how people must have suffered and feared here. To always remember...

Belgium sector of WW1 trenches. One of the better preseserved trench systems I have seen. Not called the trench of death for nothing. Eye opener

A complete trench network, it is larger than it initially looks. Small museum to go along with it that is well done. The trenches are in good shape and easy to explore for most people.

This is a pretty good museum. The indoor displays are small. The trenches are, of course, much neater and cleaner than they were so that tourists don't get too dirty. The trenches could use some signage to show how different parts functioned, etc.

small fee to enter but worth it. upstairs shows the locations and an aerial view of the devastation from mortars and bombs in the war. its quite a good place for children also. i took my 10 yo son and that's where he learnt all about poppy day and what actually happened .{in kid terms} it gives you a good understanding of life in the trenches and just how close the enemy were back in ww1.
